I am a researcher in Micropaleontology, passionate about my work; I teach future geologists to recognize fossils and microfossils and to use them to date rocks. I like to use fossils to understand the history of planet Earth, to reconstruct remote events from fossils preserved in rocks.
I collaborated on the international Ocean Drilling Program project, during which I studied the rocks buried on the bottom of the Eastern Pacific Ocean while on board of the research vessel Joides Resolution.
I was born in Milan, I currently live in Turin, but I have lived in many different places in Europe and I prefer to call myself a European citizen. 57 years old.
